Introducing Fehin: Our new Programme Manager!

Fehin recently joined The Catalyst team and we are so excited to have her on board! As programme manager, Fehin will oversee the day to day running of our programme, and be a key point of contact for our mentors and mentees. Read on to find out more about Fehin's background and new role at The Catalyst.

Fehin joins The Catalyst Collective from Newark Youth, where she managed Headstart Action, a youth led social action and employability programme supported by The Mayor of London. She was instrumental in engaging over 80 marginalised young people aged 14 to 18, who were at risk of becoming NEET. Prior to Newark, Fehin was working at Groundwork London, facilitating their Achievement Programme focused on the academic and personal development of 15-18yr olds.

Throughout her career, Fehin has dedicated herself to empowering young people, she started as a Teaching Assistant working with SEN students aged 11-18 and then moved into a cover supervisor role. Having spent some time working within secondary education, she recognised the gaps within education that didn't tackle youth development and decided to navigate her path towards supporting young people in their personal development and careers. She has successfully managed youth programmes, workshops, and insight days, providing invaluable support and resources to young people.

As Programme Manager at The Catalyst Collective, Fehin will oversee the development and implementation of our programmes, ensuring they meet the needs of our community. She will also be coordinating training and onboarding for new mentors and mentees, as well as organising upcoming events and workshops.

In her spare time, Fehin enjoys making music, going to the gym and spending time with family. When she's not managing our programmes she is actively involved in amplifying voices of black creatives through her music and culture network CNTRLCADNCE. Her commitment to community building and creative expression aligns perfectly with The Catalyst Collective’s mission.

Fehin said: “I’m honoured to be joining The Catalyst Collective. I’ve always been passionate about supporting young black women and providing them with the opportunities they need to succeed. I'm excited to contribute towards creating a positive impact, learning from a powerful network of black women, and I look forward to working with the team and our wider community."
